Laura Evans welcomes “Operation Prosper” to support our veterans into great jobs.
As mayor Laura will make sure we are always on the side of the 62,000 veterans who reside in Greater Manchester. For too long the present mayor has focused on cycle lanes, instead of investing in people and creating those much-needed opportunities.
Laura commits to slashing the Older person's travel card by 50%.
We know that unless we fill the buses, they are on track to require massive hikes in people's council tax to keep them running.
The Greater Manchester mayor's approach has been to put that cost onto our older people, by increasing the travel card cost and basing his ideas on the London model, which is constantly needing a bailout.
If elected, Laura won't let that happen. She will drive an agenda of change with a positive approach, more carrots than sticks, incentivising the use of all the public transport systems.
